Assignment 3... I guess
From what I can gather it's either how you would desribe CC to an alien, or what kind of clothes CC would be. I'm not sure how I would describe comedy central to an alien, maybe a human broadcast sent through television sets to bring laughter and entertainment to all who watch. If comedy central were clothes they would be brightly colored, baggy, maybe some plaid and a pair of sexy suspenders. Yeah, thats it.
assignment 3
I can not find assignment 3 either. But going off of everyone elses responses, it sounds like assignment 3 is how I would describe comedy central. The way I would describe comedy central is a station you can go for good laughs. I am a person that loves going to comedy clubs too and comedy central, pretty much, brings the comedy show to you. It is intended to make all types of people laugh and just enjoy themselfs. From south park to the chapelle show to blue comedy tv, I think all the shows are hillarous. When I think of comedy central, I think of bright colors, smiling faces just people letting go from there everyday life and having fun.
response to blue collar tv
Blue Collar TV...would be funny!!! Has anyone went to www.killmyboss.com ? Funny!!! I can only imagine the kinds of skits what would be written on a typical day at work.
Ok...where is Assignment 3??? I guess I will have to go off of the other posts as well. If I were to write a skit, it would have to be for Katt, Cedric, and Chappell!!!LOL!!! I chose those becasue for one it would be easy, and two..it would be hilarious!!! I would put all three of them as old women who sat around and talked about everyone who walked up the street. OMG...I can hear the conversation now...LOL!!!! Im laughing thinking about it!!!
response to outdoorsman
I think the blue collar tv would be a terrific idea. I like that cause I get funny emails sent to me about things that happen at work. Like the guy getting pissed off from trying to print screen ane ripped the computer from the wall and took it to the copier to print screen. Things like that are funny and people can relate to them on the job.
Response to so called assignment 3
Since I didn't see an assignment 3 posting I decided to respond according to the other responses I saw. If I wrote a skit it would be for South Park. It seems easier to write for a cartoon skit because you could do just about anything. I would keep the current color scheme. I think bold bright colors are good for humor and fun. If I had a show it would be a clip of Dave Chappelles show the nigger family. I thought that show was hilarious. I like the way they did the family name and how they act with it. If comedy central was a person it would be fat albert. I think this was a classic comedy show and I think a big fat person like him would be great. If comedy central wore clothes it would be bright colors with plaids.
I don't see assignment 3 either
The people who responded to assignment 3 where is it? I guess I'll just base my answers on the questions I think were asked based on responses.
responce to dave
I agree I think that comedy central is a great way to wind done in the evening there is always something on to make you laugheven on your worst day it can cheer you up.
If comedy central had to be cloths they would be some crazy looking disco pants from the 70's they would some the most off the wall looking pants. What would I have them watch I would have them watch the on-line web site you can see from there web site that you will have a good time any time of the day watching this channel.
response to marko
I think when the question was asked which cast we would wont to hang out with I would have to say you could pull a name out of a hat and have a good time such as the Reno 911 is a really funny show the few times I've seen them .
response to Shanae Bond
Just respned to the Scubs response I think the janitor is really funny I think the dryness is great humor alot of the time he'll just be moping or something and pop his head up and say something so funny with a straight face that tough if I say something that s really funny and people react I laughing as well, so to me weather the people he is talking to or not are laughing he makes me laugh.
RESPONSE TO WaffleZ on South Park
Just wonted to go along with you that it would probably is easy to write for South Park due to the fact that it seems as though there are no rules and you could use and abuse any or all of the characters and make it funny as long as Kenny dies in each episode I think it could make to script.
I think that comedy central is great the waI could discribe the channel is off the beaten path of the norm what ever time of day it can make you laugh . Not a whole lot that I would change but on the website maybe some more program episodes sometimes I would like to see some older shows that are no longer being shown, but all in all love don't change much but roll with the punches of the culture just listen to the public and give them what you already are laughter.
assignment 3
I have to agree with Dave d. not to do any quoting but I think that coming up with skits for south park for me would be far be the easy just think of the most off color topic and run with it and and also not sure how they get away with some of the things they do or say and also the Family Guy is really funny but I think it is opening the door up for other off color cartoon style shows think therse are great but I wouldn't like to see all turn to this type of show there is a later time slot and a older crowd these should be made for trust me I love them but there has been plenty of times watching family guy saying to myself that I would won't my son to see which is 3 and 9 year girl not to watch can be very volger at times and most of the time but GREAT for ADULTS!
assignment 2
Oh I tjink this one is easy I think that If I could hang out with one cast it would absolutely be Blue Collar TV thats easy and the first place we would go is the flea market a friend of mine and I when we get together and go its alot of fun to just walk around and make fun of the differant types of people you can see there and can you amagine doing that with that group not that is the rigt thing to do but it would be alot of fun for me! And if I could take them to any restaurant it would be a Hooters or something along those lines I'm sure again that would be a great time with that group of guys it would be great to have what those guys have meaning to be able to turn any sitituation into the time of your life!
assignment one
Sorry had some problems with my computer anyway I've been reading some of the bloggs and can see how many of you feel about the differant programs but if I could write for one show I would be writing for the daily show I really enjoy the off beat humor and the making fun of the differant issues in the world. Some are oh my god funny and some are just funny because they will be making fun of differant commontaters anyway I really enjoy it. It suits my sense of humor sense I tend to have a sarcastic sense of humor. If I could add a character to the show I think that I would add a everyday heckler at certain bits in the show where Jon my actruly trying to be serious and someone starts makin fun of him or something. It would be really hard but I'm sure I would have a lot of fun with the cast of the show. I think that it would be hard to write for Jon but I think I could find lots of good topics and issues to discuss .ANyone else love the Daily Show?

response to assignment three
If an alien were to land on Earth and I had to show it what Comedy Central was, I would show it a clip of Scrubs because Comedy Central is a very funny station and in my opinion there isn't any show funnier on Comedy Central than Scrubs. If I had to describe Comedy Central as a person, I would describe Comedy Central as being a very funny person because Comedy Central is a very funny station. If Comedy Central was a person, the person would wear clothes that looked funny-looking to make people laugh. If Comedy Central was a person, the person would live on a farm and the person would listen to funny music and would love watching funny movies. Yes, if Comedy Central was a person, then Comedy Central would be a friend of mine because it would be really nice to be able to get a good laugh if I was in a down mood. Yes, if Comedy Central was a person, Comedy Central would be me because I have a very good sense of humor. I don't know what 2 images I would show the alien to represent Comedy Central and I don't know what 1 youtube clip I would show the alien to represent the entertainment I find on Comedy Central. I would tell the alien about the shows Scrubs, Futurama, and South Park because those 3 shows are the ones I like the best on Comedy Central due to them being the funniest shows on Comedy Central in my opinion, and I would tell it that those shows are extremely funny so they would know what my opinion was on what shows to watch to get a good laugh.
To write for
I gotta jump on the "I'd like to write for South Park" bandwagon simply because it would have to be the easiest show to come up with different skits and different lines for the characters. I do have to say though that I want to see a mix of the Family Guy along with shows like South Park and other cartoon shows. Family Guy is by far one of my favorite shows out right now thats not on Comedy Central, every episode Ive seen is hilarious and I still dont know how they get away with saying some of the stuff they do on regular TV. That said, I do think maybe South Park kind of opened up the door for the crude kind of cartoon show and went to that next level that even a good show like the Simpsons couldnt or wouldnt go to.
response to ASSIGNMENT 3
if comedy central had to wear clothes, it would be a paint on outfit with all crazy bright colors!! so different and unique, and so much to say without a lot of boundaries. it would talk all different languages and no matter who it spoke to, it would be able to respond... its full of laughter and everyone would always want to be around him; he'd be contagious!
i would have him watch scrubs, south park and crank yankers... i think itd be a great variety... scrubs you learn true life lessons at the end of the laughter, south park, its true even construction paper can be fun and yes, even puppets immitating humans is funny!
whether you are sad or happy, comedy central is always there with a little something to make you smile:)

First Assignment
I must of skipped over assignment one but anyways if I could be a writer for any show on comedy central, I would have to agree with WaffleZ, it would definitely be south park. I think this show is so creative and very outrageous. It is humorous and shocking all at the same time. This show would be actually easy to write for because you can take any issue that is going on in the world today or in the past and put it in perspective in the small town of south park. If I would have to write about a show today, it would be probably be on the political campaigning that is going on for the 2008 election. The character that would be the most fun to write about would be Cartman, because his character is always the most hilarious and also he complains a lot. The hardest character would probably be how to kill Kenny off the show as always. I probably wouldn’t change too much on the show because I love the way it is now but if I added a new character it probably be someone like the dad on the family guy, I think he would fit in pretty good on the show.
response to iseeyou
I didn't think about Cedric the Entertainer. Now them two Katt and Cedrick will be off the heezy. I will be laughing all day long with ya'll.
Assignment 2
If I could spend the afternoon with anyone....it would have to be Katt Williamsa and Cedric the Entertainer!!! I think we would get along GREAT! LOL....I would take them to a club, and we would have a blast sitting around capping and joking on everyone all night...LOL. That would be a outrageous outing...I think I would laugh all night long non stop. We would go to J. Alexanders just because its my favorite resteraunt. Im sure we would have a blast there also. Hanging out with them would just be a total trip!!! I envision us laughing ALL DAY! I think they would treat me, and those around me great, and with much respect. I cant see them coming in and out of character because they are comedians. I think they are the same all the time, just a little more serious sometimes.

BW3s
I also like the "take Reno 911 to B Dubs", that'd be one of my choices too considering I go there a lot anyway and I'd want to see how they would react to being in a setting like that.
Scrubs 911
If it came down to choosing who to have a chance to hang out with from a C Central show, it'd be a tie between Scrubs which is my favorite right now, and Reno 911. I'd take J.D.,Turk,Elliot,Carla and Todd and maybe three or four from Reno and hit a sportsbar or a nightclub of some sort. The reason I think it'd be cool to hang with a mixture of the cast members is cause both casts have a similar sense of humor, and with their parodies of real life situations I'd want to see how they would react hangin out together. I'd also like to think that for the most part all of them would be pretty cool even if they were out of character; I think anybody that plays the parts on a show like they do would have to be down to earth like a couple others said on this blog. Either way I wonder if they would get along together out somewhere or not but Im pretty sure they would and it be hilarious just to sit there without saying a word just listening to them go at each other. Ive got the type of family myself that I know would love to see this happen too because they love the humour in both these shows, and comedy in general.
response to wafflez
I like your comments regarding South Park and I agree that do things that are off the wall or off the chain. the show is just off the hook. I love to watch this show when I won't a good laugh. I agree Cartman would be the easiest to write for.
Assignment Two- Scrubs
I would hang out with the cast of scrubs because I would love to just sit back and watch them, and I would definitely try to get with Elliot. I think I could be friends J.D., Turk, Carla and Elliot, and maybe Todd.
I'm not sure I would take them anywhere, I like the hospital setting, however, I do think it would be alot of fun to party with them. If they weren't in character I don't know how much fun they would be,but if they where in character they would be alot of fun, cool, and completely outrageous. I have no idea where I would take them to eat, probably some sort of buffet. I think if we all hung out they would have to be in character.m I think they would be cool and nice to my family and those around me, except for Dr.Cox, he'd be mean to everybody. I don't know if they'd be nice out of character or not. I'd like to think that most of the cast of that show is cool in person, and fairly down to earth

Assignment One- South Park
If I could write for one show it would be South Park because they always seem to be doing something new and completely off the wall. I like how the kids hang out and chill, and are all abusive to eachother, it's kinda like me and my friends. It's not the particular genre of comedy, I love all comedy, but it definitely fit's my personality. I think this show has a lot of opportunity as long as the writers keep coming up with new Ideas . I would do my best to write fresh shows with new content. I think Cartman would be the easiest to write for, if you can insult someone you can write for cartman. I think I would have a hard time writing for the other kids at the school, like token. If I had to choose one character I identify with, it would have to be Stan, he's the one always tryin to keep his friends outta trouble.
If I were to change one thing about the show I would bring in replacement for chef, maybe a lunch lady. If I were to introduce a new character, it would be an real enemy to the children.

response to Scrubs
I agree with you on the " janitor is quietly one of the funiest on the show, as good as he is at giving JD crap all the time". I don't watch scrubs too often but I can see that. I also can see someone with dry sarcasm liking this show. I watch it every now and then. Sometimes I can relate to that dry sense of humor.

response to Marko
I enjoyed your responses and I think taking Reno 911 to BW3's would be a great idea. That's a good atmosphere for entertainment. He's funny I know if I saw him there I would have a good time.
Homework Assignment
Hi everyone, my name is Marko and this is my first blog. I been having technical problems getting to the site. Anyways, I am 27 and my favorite hobbies are watching sports and also playing them as well. The reason I like watching comedy central is that there is always a show or movie on that makes me laugh anytime of day. For the homework assignment, if I had my choice of spending the day with anyone of the cast on comedy central it would probably be the cast of Reno 911. I think these guess are hilliarous! I would probably have a party or just have them come over and hang out at the house for the day. I know they do pre plan skits on the show but I think a lot of the humor is that they are just outright comedies. They seem like the type of people who is always clowning around and doing stuff just to make people laugh on and off the show. If we would go out to lunch or dinner it would probably somewhere like bw3's where there is a good atsmophere and people. How I invision them in real life would be that they are down to earth people who can easily go into character if they wanted too. I wouldn't be nervous to bring them around my friends or family cause they also enjoy good humor. Overall I think it would be a fun and very humorous day hanging out with the cast of reno 911.

response to assignment two
If I could spend one day with the cast of one show on Comedy Central, it would be with the cast of Scrubs because that is my favorite show on Comedy Central. I think that the cast of Scrubs would be my friends so that makes it appealing to hang out with them. I would hang out with the cast of Scrubs at my house and play video games. I think the cast of Scrubs would be very funny, very friendly, and very easy-going. If I was to go out to lunch or dinner with them, I would take them to have a pizza picnic in the park because I feel they would really enjoy that place since it is a very easy-going atmosphere just like I think they would be very easy-going people. When I envision hanging out with them, they would still be in character. I think the actors being "in character" would treat me and everyone else around me like we are all their best friends. I think the actors not being "in character" would still treat me and everyone else around me like we are all their best friends.
response to assignment 2
If I could spend the afternoon with the cast of one show it would be Katt Williams. I think he would be my Friend. I would take him on a stroll through the town. I would go somewhere with him where we could talk and joke around a movie would be too silent he may be distracting to others or take the attention away from the movie. I would love for him to come to the house and play video games, I think that would be the funniest thing ever. I wonder what type of jokes he's come up with. I think he's be very enjoyable to be around. I would like for him to answer my phone when a bill collector or telemarketer calls. I would like to invite him to my family reunion. I think he'd be very outgoing an funny. If I went to dinner with him it would be to Bennihana's. I wonder how he would react. I think he would like it because their very entertaining. I think he would be similar in person to how he performs on stage when hanging out with him. That character would probably talk about the people around me he'd probably joke and kid with them and criticize what their wearing. He'd probably joke with me and tell me I'm corny. He probably think of my best friend as lame . He'd treat my parents like relatives. I have no clue on how he'd treat my teacher. He's subject to treat him or her in anyway.
Homework Assignment number 1
I've been caught up in snowstorms here.
If I could be a writer for one show on comedy central it would be the Dave Chappelle Show because I think anything you can write for him would turn out great. It's somehting about the way he talks and facial expressions just makes him funny. His show interests me because I can relate to him he's down to earht and funny. He fits my sense of humor because that's the way my family and I joke around. I see an opportunity in that show because we see eye to eye on a lot of things and I can relate. I would like to see more black and white shows. I would create shows that includes kids, drugs and sex. I think Dave Chappell would be the most fun to write for . I'm not sure who would be the hardest if I had to pick someone it would be Simora it seems like she says the same things all the time. I can identify with Katt Williams the most because he'r from my hood represented cincinnati, ohio A1 Avondale. IF I could change something about the show I would include some type of cartoon animation. I would introduce a new character like a grandma something like Madea that gives comedy you can relate to with good morality behind it.

I used to live in West Chester. I enjoy making people laugh as well. Do you ever go to Jokers comedy club.
ASSIGNMENT TWO: If you were to hang out with a cast...
Hey everyone,
Thanks for all the outstanding responses to far. We're enjoying reading about you and hearing what you have to say about Comedy Central. Here is the next assignment:
If you could spend the afternoon with the cast of one show, which one would it be and why?
• Is this cast appealing to you because you think they would be your friends?
• Where would you go with them? A baseball game? A movie? Would you just hang out at your house and play video games?
• What do you think those people would be like? Do you think they would be funny? Do you think they would be friendly? Do you think they would be outrageous?
• If you were to go out to lunch or dinner, where would you take them? Why do you think they would (or would not) like that particular spot?
• How do you envision hanging out with them? Would they still be in character?
• How would that character treat you? How would that character treat those around you? Your best friend? Your parents? Your teacher?
• How would that actor treat you? Your best friend? Your parents? Your teacher?
Cheers,
McKay

Response to go bananas
Yea, Ive been to Go Bananas Comedy Club over a dozen times, its pretty good depending on who's there. My fiance and I went to the Funny Bone for New Years Eve this year and it was good too, and that was my first time going there.
"SCRUBS"
SCRUBS
I go through phases of different shows to watch depending on what my shedule is and whether or not I start getting bored with a certain show. I'd definitely be a writer for Scrubs if I had to pick a show from C Central right now. I can definitely relate to the show considering all the sarcasm, since most all my friends and family consider me to have a very dry sense of humor. I'd just like to have a chance to be on one episode for the hell of it; I think I'd fit in perfectly. The janitor is quietly one of the funiest on the show, as good as he is at giving JD crap all the time. I almost wish they'd give him more screen time though. I also watch a lot of stand up and Chappell show too but Scrubs is my choice of the best for now at least.

The Chappelle Show
LOL...I would write for the Chappelle show!! I think he is HILARIOUS!! I could watch and laugh all night. If I were to write for the show, I would (lmao) give him a character of a "Crackhead"!!! Kind of like an alter ego thing. No, I can't relate to Dave at all, which is probably why I get such a kick out of him. I would create more shows with alter egos. The Chappelle show does fit my sense of humor...but I can't relate to him at all.

response to assignment one
If I could be a writer for one show on Comedy Central, I would be a writer for the show Scrubs because Scrubs is my favorite show on Comedy Central. The reason why Scrubs is my favorite show on Comedy Central is because I find it very hilarious and it's very quirky, sarcastic humor just makes me constantly die laughing. Scrubs fits my sense of humor because I have a very quirky, sarcastic sense of humor. The episodes I would write for on Scrubs would continue to have it's very quirky and sarcastic humor written throughout the episodes, and I wouldn't give a fresh spin or change or improve anything about the writing of Scrubs even if I was given that task because Scrubs honestly couldn't be a better or funnier show. I think all of the characters on the show would be equally fun to write for. There isn't any character on Scrubs that I identify the most with. If I was to introduce a new character, I don't know who they would be but I know they would be very funny just like all the characters of Scrubs are.
ASSIGNMENT ONE
Hey everyone, McKay here again. Thanks for all your participation thus far. Here is your first assignment. I'll post the next one later this week.
If you could be a writer for one show on Comedy Central, which one would it be and why?
• What is it about that show that interests you? Is it a particular genre that you like? Does it fit your personality/sense of humor? Do you see an opportunity in that show?
• What kinds of shows would you create?
• Which character do you think would be most fun to write for?
• Which character do you think would be the hardest?
• Which character do you think you would identify with the most?
• If you were tasked to change something about the show, what would you do? How would you improve it or give it a fresh spin?
• If you were to introduce a new character, who would it be and what would he/she/it be like?

I can feel you on watching comedy central to help you relax after work. I like to stay up late and watch it to get a laugh. I also like to forward funny jokes I hear to my friends at work.

Hi everyone, my name is McKay and I'll be posting assignments and asking questions.
I'll go first in introducing myself and telling you all a little bit about me.
I work for an advertising and research for a company in NYC. I love my job because I get to spend all day learning about different types of people and what they love in their lives.
I live in Manhattan with 2 roommates. They are my friends from college. I'm a huge sports fan and try to get together with friends after work. I also love to check out new bars and restaurants in the city.
I like watching Comedy Central because it always makes me laugh, and totally helps me relax after work. Plus, I love talking about some of the shows with my friends the next day.
Since I work in advertising, I decide to include a link to this commercial which I think is great because I love sports and I think it's a cool way to capture the competitiveness that I love.
